We are one of the few clinics in the area to offer “all-in-one” care—so you can receive your psychiatric evaluation, have your prescription electronically sent to your pharmacy, and undergo any necessary psychological testing all in a single visit. No outside referrals or multiple appointments required.
Founded by Stephen Sweeney, Board-Certified, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Legal Nurse Consultant, and President, our team ensures that all aspects of your mental health journey are handled with compassion and expertise.

About the Owner
Stephen P. Sweeney, APRN-CNP, PMHNP-BC, LNC is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and psychopharmacologist dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care. He began his career at Time Wellness in Fayetteville, AR, where he treated psychiatric disorders and dual-diagnosis substance use conditions, gaining specialized experience in Medication-Assisted Treatment and outpatient psychiatry.
Stephen went on to serve as Medical Director and sole prescriber at an inpatient residential facility in Taft, TN, where he managed complex mood, thought, and personality disorders. There, he expanded his expertise with long-acting injectables, Genesight pharmacogenomic testing, and advanced treatment approaches. He also provided care for patients in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs across Tennessee and Georgia.
Today, Stephen is the founder and owner of Turned Leaf Psychiatry in Ridgeland, MS, where he provides innovative psychiatric care across the lifespan. He is recognized for his success in treating conditions such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, sleep disorders, and substance use disorders. A strong advocate for mental health access in Mississippi, Stephen is committed to reducing stigma, expanding care, and mentoring the next generation of providers as a preceptor for multiple universities.
Outside of his practice, Stephen enjoys life in Mississippi with his daughter and Australian shepherd, Spurry.
